Today I did the Shoulder and Core Bodyweight Burn workout (http://www.myomytv.com/shoulder-and-core-bodyweight-burn/). This workout had 2 parts, the first being the core and shoulder work and the second focused on legs. The first part consisted of 3 rounds of 6 different exercises, each performed at intervals of 15 seconds rest and 45 seconds maximum intensity work. The 6 exercises in this part are as follows:
1. Squat-Roll-Squat
2. Walking Bridge
3. Push Up Crawl
4. L-Situp
5. Superman
6. 1-foot Close Push-up (tricep pushup)
The push-ups were definitely the hardest part of this section. My heart rate got up there a bit but I didn't feel too taxed after completing the 3 rounds. The second part of this workout was performed Tabata style, with 20 seconds work and 10 seconds rest. There were 2 rounds of the following 4 exercises:
1. Power Jumping Jacks
2. Mountain Climbers
3. Dynamic Squats
4. Reverse Lunge with Kick
This section really got me breathing hard and got my heart beating. The hardest parts were the Power Jumping Jacks and the Dynamic Squats. This was a really good way to finish the workout.
Hi, I just came across your blog, thanks for using my workouts, hope you continue to follow my bodyweight workouts. I often include bodyweight exercises in my Kettlebell workout too.

Marianne,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement. I really love the bodyweight workouts you have on your website. As you may have read, I was trying to do 40 days of the bodyrock.tv workouts but now that I've finished that goal I'm hoping to mix things up a bit more and include some more of your workouts. I'm also starting to be tempted by kettleballs and may soon have to buy one so I can take advantage of more of your workouts..... they look great!
Thanks!
