Saturday: scheduled rest day
Sunday: Fat Assassin WO from bodyrock.tv plus 2 pull ups before the workout and 2 sets of 2 after the workout (HR 102 BPM)
Monday: Stereo Love WO from bodyrock.tv plus 2 sets of 3 pull ups after the workout. (HR 114 BPM)
Today: TRX WO
Today's TRX workout came from the TRX forums courtesy of "Tortle". It was a nice, full body strength workout. I think I'd add some pistol squats with jumps or something similar to add a bit more leg work, but other than that it was a great total body workout that took me 30:07. Here is a copy of the exercises and reps:
- 40 atomic pushups
- 40 low rows.
- 40 suspended lunges, each leg (no transition rest between legs)
- 40 hip presses
- 100 hip abductors
- 40 tricep presses (steep, feet almost back to anchor point)
- 30 chest presses (feet together directly under anchor point)
- 25 Y shoulder raises
- 15 swimmer pulls
- 25 bicep curls (feet under anchor point)
- side plank with 30 taps, both sides
- 30 suspended pikes, holding at top
- 50 oblique leg raises
I didn't know what the oblique leg raises were so I made up my own exercise by doing a side plank in single handle mode and lifting my upper leg 25/leg.... stabalizing with my upper arm. This actually turned out to be a neat exercise but I'm hoping to figure out how to do a proper oblique leg raise. I also have to admit that I didn't go nearly as deep as designed in the presses and curls but went as deep as I could! This was a great toning workout but not much cardio effect.... my HR at the end was 88 BPM.
