I just finished up with bodyrock.tv's newest workout, the Survivor Workout. It had 3 parts (but I added a fourth) and went by really fast. I liked this workout and some of the new, interesting exercises. The 1-arm press ups were new for me and I really liked them. I also liked the addition of the 2 kick-ups to Zuzana's version of the breakdance push ups. So here is the workout breakdown:
Part 1: 5 Exercises, Interval 10/50, 1x
1. Backward Lunge with Kick Up -left
2. Backward Lunge with Kick Up -right
3. 1-Arm Press Up -alternating arms
4. 2 Kick-Ups with Breakdance Push Up
5. Pick Jump with Squat Jump
Part 2: 5 minutes of alternating 1-leg Squat with Squat Jump
Repeat Part 1
Added Part 4 of 5 minutes of Turkish Get-Ups with 10lb weight
Workout Stats:
Avg. HR-150
Max HR- 169
Min HR- 109
Time Above Zone- 18:13
Time In Zone- 2:59
Time Below Zone- 0:20
Burn- 15g, 116.6 Kc
A couple of final notes: I really liked this set-up. It would be so easy to sub different exercises for the 5 minute steady work (like I did with the TGU) and even for the 5 minutes of interval work. However, I really liked the 5 exercises chosen here. I would also say this was a bit more lower body focused, but as always still worked the core and included a bit of arm work.
