Last Workouts Before China

As I'm sitting in the airport, waiting for our flight to China, I figured I'd log in my last few workouts before I leave, especially since I have no idea if I'll be able to do so while we are gone.

Saturday ended up being a day off for me since we left early to make the drive to Grandma and Grandpa's to drop off the kids.  Sunday I was able to get in a quick workout similar to the 10/40 interval workout I did last week, repeating each exercise 3xs before moving on tot he next one.  I changed up a few of the last exercises and it made the workout quite a bit tougher than before.  This was a great, hard, fast moving workout and I really liked it and needed it:

1. Dyanamic Squats
2. Dive Bombers
3. Jump Lunges
4. 1-Leg Can-Can Tricep Dips
5. Ninja Jump Tucks
6. Strong Core Exercise
7. Burpees with Jump and Push Up

This morning I managed to get in an early morning run on the hotel treadmill before we headed to the airport.  I ran 2.6 miles in 25 minutes.  I started off pretty slowly (partly by design and partly because I was having some troubles figuring out how to work the machine) but kept ramping up the speed as I went.  I finished 2 miles right at the 20 minute mark and then really increased the speed for the last 5 minutes, ending with a 7:13 minute mile pace.  Surprisingly, this wasn't nearly as an intense of a workout as yesterday's which made me feel good to have a little validation that the short, bodyweight workouts I've been doing really are working.  Even though the workout wasn't too tough, it was nice to have a bit longer workout.
